project 2: real-time interactive multimedia art installation
Create a project using TouchDesigner to delight and entertain the world, or at least those not found in 404.
Your project will probably be one of the following:
- input > processing > output
- projection mapping
Ideally it will have an interactive element such as:
- web cam or camera input
- audio reactive
- midi controls
- media pipe?
- light or movement sensitive (think Arduino sensors)
In addition to TouchDesigner you can use Blender, AfterEffects, Premiere etc.
deliverables:
- a project description / plan (10%) due Nov 5/7
- a moodboard / storyboard or some sort of visual "plan" (10%) due Nov 12 / 14 before class
- share your progress with others & get feedback. Share the feedback you get. (10%) due Nov 12 / 14 by the end of class
- a live presentation of your project to an audience, ideally in the multifunctional studio (50%)
- a web version of your work, process, video / photos of live audience (20%)
live presentations should be week of Nov 18 - 22

You can do whatever you want related to motion graphics & video.
- AfterEffects project
- TouchDesigner project
- video / photo project combining motion graphics
- Blender project
- you can also extend another project adding / refining elements & making improvements
You an work alone or in a group
deliverables:

final project presentations December 3 / 5 with final web site due Dec. 9th
exercise 2.1 and 2.2 TD network
Using the resources provided including TD documentation, sweet 16s and Elekktronaut's Beginner Tutorials, create a network and display it on your site. Your site should include:
- exercise # and title
- screen grab of your network
- linked or embedded YouTube or Vimeo video export of your TD movie
- link to resources you used
due: weeks 10 (Oct. 22 / 24) & 11 (Oct. 29 / 31)
week 10: sound input / infographic feedback
description example: Animating infographics can help communicate a brand's message. This infographic uses movement to communicate the popularity and availability of Omsom's products. In this instance subtle movements are combined with more dynamic animations using position and easing.
